On his return to his native land Sinyea following years of Diaspora exile, Kolleh said his declaration stemmed from the manner in which the county has been under-represented at the Liberian parliament since the ascendency of Madam Jewel Howard-Taylor. He cited the absence of basic social services that still remain a pivotal concern for most Bong residents. “Our leaders have not been sincere to us since the last eight years. Look at our roads, the health care delivery system, our deplorable they are,” Kolleh told a gathering that consisted his childhood peers. He believes his rise as senator of Bong will explore the hidden developmental norms that had dogged for so long. Kolleh added: “I have served as one of Bong County’s outstanding business entrepreneurs in the United States of America and I feel by being senator of Bong County I can do same in my native land.’ Asked about his chance in the impending senatorial election, the UBCCA president said his possibilities of clinching the seat are as high as any one despite being a resident of the United States of America. Kolleh told a team of journalists that he has been a constant visitor in the county contrary to heightening speculations claiming him to be “an unknown character” in his own land.
Chances
In recent times, Kolleh has meaningfully exerted himself as a character wealthy of public interest following the assistance rendered to scores of youth groups across the county. Political analysts believed if the UBCCA president can only make his presence felt months before the commencement of the 2014 campaign, he could become a factor to reckon in a contest that has become increasingly difficult to consider the winner. Chances with the CDC As a founding member of the CDC in the Diaspora, inside sources hinted FrontPageAfrica that Kolleh stands a better chance in surviving the party’s primary. His emergence as a CDC candidate could mean well for his political ambition due to the party’s entrenched strength in populated Districts in the County. Challenges It is true Kolleh has the money to win the minds of the electorates but one key aspect political analyst say that that still remains a hindrance to his ambition is his unavailability on the ground. Yet, many say, the UBCCA president still remains unseen following his political revelation a few days ago. Sinyea in Suakoko District, Kolleh’s native land, has already seen the emergence of three candidates and the inevitability of him having a political base still remains to be seen. Difficulty in the CDC Kolleh is said to have a historical route with the Congress for Democratic Change (CDC) but hierarchy of the party’s local structure say his impact has not been felt as compared to other Districts. Besides, Augustus Flomo’s recent emergence has seemingly made things increasingly difficult for Kolleh’s eventuality within the CDC.

Suakoko, Bong County -The President of the United Bong County citizens in the America (UBCCA) Christian Kolleh has become the latest person to declare his intention for the embattled senatorial seat currently occupied by incumbent Senator Jewel Howard-Taylor.
Considering Kolleh’s monetary strength, his chances could be classed with those considered the would-be elites of the senatorial race: CU president Dr. Henrique Tokpa, former Bong County Senatorial candidate Benedict Sargbeh and incumbent Senator Jewel Howard-Taylor.
