There were no casualties reported but FrontPageAfrica understands that the city mayor lost her leg while Superintendent Mappy is said to have sustained several wounds on her head. Madam Warbey, who is said to have suffered the most injuries from the accident is expected to take some time before making full recovery after doctors recommended that she seeks further treatment probably overseas, family sources told FrontPageAfrica via mobile phone. Warbley became Gbarnga’s second city mayor in 2006 and was just confirmed for another six-year mandate by President Sirleaf. Mappy who became Bong County’s second female Superintendent following the fall of Madam Lucia Herbert has in recent months toured various Districts to install commissioners who were appointed by President Sirleaf. This is the second time a Superintendent of Bong has been involved in a tragic motor accident. In 2010, former Bong County Superintendent Ranney Jackson was involved in similar incident while en route to Monrovia.
