Speaking during the launch of the mobile giant’s BlackBerry solution, Mr. Mogapi said Lonestar Cell MTN subscribers will now be able to enjoy the freedom and productivity benefits of using BlackBerry smart phones to stay connected with friends and family at home and abroad. “Today, we would like to offer you all the services. What you get in Canada, in the U.K, in the U.S, in South Africa and in most modern countries in the world, you’ll see on our blackberry services,” said Mr. Magapi. The Lonestar Cell-MTN CEO told the audience made up of a host of government officials including Foreign Minister Augustine Ngafuan, Monrovia Acting Mayor Mary Broh and many from the corporate sector that the company recommits itself to the efforts of the Liberian government in the rebuilding process of the nation, particularly the telecom sector. “Lonestar-Cell MTN sees itself as a partner and I would like to keep that,” he said. “We see ourselves as a partner with the long-term commitment to see Liberia and Liberians lifted in the land of the Liberian government’s Vision- 2030.” The new service according to the Lonestar CEO will provide people the information that matter most to them, while on the go and bring together smart phones, software and services to allow easy wireless access to email, messaging, social networking, phone, calendar, web, multimedia and other business and lifestyle applications. The BlackBerry Absolute Plan according to the company is designed for small businesses and individuals. “It allows customers to access BlackBerry data services including access to the Internet, BlackBerry® Messenger (BBM™), popular social networking sites (including Facebook® and Twitter™), the BlackBerry App World™ storefront, and up to 10 supported corporate and personal email accounts (including most popular ISP email accounts such as Yahoo! Mail and Google Mail) from a BlackBerry smartphone,” said the CEO.
